The Brief

Our brief was to design a new A Place in the Sun Live website and align the Channel 4 TV programme brand with the world's largest exhibition of overseas property. To maximise the projects return on investment Glass also implemented an SEM campaign using our in-house expertise to increase the site's visibility on Google and to increase revenues from online bookings and ticket sales.

The Solution

Working closely with our client, The Brookland's Group, we focused on creating a simple, clean and intuitive web site with clear calls to action on all pages. A highly targeted and effective SEM campaign meant Glass's team of in-house search engine marketers advised throughout the design and build process to ensure the site was fully optimised for search engines and further supported by a pay per click campaign during the run up to the exhibition weekend.

As the site is also content managed it means all four exhibitions throughout the year can be promoted independently and managed very cost effectively by The Brookland Groups' own marketing team, therefore providing an immediate and measurable return on their investment.

The Result

  • Simple strategy of providing clear calls to action so both experienced and inexperienced web users can locate exhibition ticket information quickly to increase overall ticket sales
  • Consistently achieving number one positions on Google for competitive search terms like 'overseas property exhibition'
  • Improved site retention 8 fold with accessible, interesting and relevant content therefore improving the site's perception of value, trust and credibility in a very congested market place.
  • Fully search engine optimised and content managed solution.
  • Full SEM link building and PPC campaign
